As
we all know, the Internet is a vast and powerful force for success. Take a
look back at the history of technology. It has always been the people who
took early advantage of any medium that
have prospered.
It's a fact that the Internet has already surpassed the industrial
revolution. Internet fortunes are being made in months and years instead of
decades. People with vision are becoming billionaires faster than ever.
Needless to say, ordinary people with minimal skills are becoming
financially independent overnight.
According to experts, there will be over 300 million people on line by the
end of the year 2000. It is
estimated that over the next four years the Internet will do over a trillion
dollars in business. The question is: will you participate in it or will you
be "Road Kill on The Information Super Highway?"
It will be years before the Internet reaches its full potential. This is a
moment in time that will never be here again!
Strategy 1: DIRECT MARKETING
Keep in mind that the secret to success in any endeavor is the ability to
reach the masses faster and cheaper with your product or service. It goes
without saying that there has never been a faster and cheaper way to reach
the masses than by the use of e-mail. E-mailing is the fastest medium yet to
reach people with an ad. With e-mail, each letter almost instantly arrives
in the addressee's e-mail box. It is free, with no postage, no envelopes and
no stationery.
*** Please do not use this article as a right to just harvest e-mail
addresses and blast your offer to as many people as you wish. Some people
have tried that and it does not work. You must send to a pre-qualified list
of people that have an interest in your offer and have communicated with you
in the past. This is a subscriber based list. I have put my list together by
offering free information, on many different web sites, and giving the
reader a choice of staying on my list or being removed at any time they so
desire.
With a projected 100 million people already on the Internet and over three
million joining each month, this is a dream come true for those of us with
the vision to harvest the potential of it. Therefore, one of the secrets to
success on the Internet is putting together a list of people that you can
send e-mail to without including those who have no interest in e-mail
offers.
Another inexpensive way to get your product or service out there is to place
lots and lots of classified ads on the Internet. There are many thousands of
these sites that offer either low cost or free ads.
Strategy 2: PROMOTING A WEB SITE
There are several ways to promote your web site:
1. Register your site with as many search engines as you can. There are web
site registers that can register your site to as many as 500 search engines.
2.E-mail
your web site address to a select list.
3. Advertise the address in conventional ways i.e.: TV., magazines,
newspapers, etc.
Anyone with a home page realizes in a short period of time that it takes
more than a search engine to bring people to their site. Because of this
concern, businesses are turning to the only answer left: strategic
e-mailing. When I use this strategy, I see my clients' hits go up more in
one hour than they have in a month and in some cases a year.
Are they making money? Yes, if they have the product or service that people
want. Most important is that with these strategies we can go directly to the
most qualified prospects. Web masters and ISPs are able to provide their
clients with complete marketing of their web sites with these strategies and
everyone makes more of a profit.
The most powerful low cost marketing team in the world...Search Engines and
E-mail strategies. I admit that I am fortunate enough to have labored early
on and learned not only how to send e-mail but the underlying secret of how
to do it properly and get the maximum results.
Once I realized that I could correspond with people, build my lists and get
to the people that welcome e-mail ads (which I have found to be about 50% of
the people,) I then was able to do something all other e-mailers had failed
to do and that was to change the response rate for
my clients.
After filtering my lists I have been able to get as high as a 40% return on
some e-mailings for clients. The average return rate reported to me to date
is 4 %. This does not promise that you will get that high of a rate as there
are never any guarantees of success in e-mailing. However, after all the
E-mail ads I've sent out I've come up with a strategy that works more often
than not.
1. Keep ads to 10 lines or less.
2. Send the bulk of your message to people after they request it.
3. Send your ad on its own.
4. Test your ad 3 times. The best test is 3,000 at a time.
5. After the test, run it big time with the one with the highest results.
6. Keep your ads clean.
7. Never ever buy e-mail addresses.
8. Never sell e-mail addresses.
I hope this will help you on your journey to success.
