Real estate is a huge business and the competition is quite stiff. Marketing strategies range from traditional to modern types. Tools like foam board prints and tarpaulins are some of the most commonly used conventional marketing signs while social media plus digital marketing applications are the new standards for the latest marketing. The goal is to get as many real estate sales as possible, regardless of the marketing strategy used. While many realtors are familiar with the old ways, the new generation would opt for marketing through the internet.

The idea is to get to know the types of signs used for real estate marketing, considering the wide span the industry covers. Here are some of them.

Yard Signs

Installing a yard sale post right in front of the property being sold is the best way to let the public know the property is for sale. The goal is to let the passersby be aware that a specific real estate is on sale around the neighborhood. A broker’s contact number is normally posted right next to or below the Sale signboard for any interested party to contact. Either by word of mouth or by additional marketing in the community, the sign plays a big role in making the sale of the property. 

Yard signs typically come in regular sizes as very small signs can end up inconspicuous. Huge signs can also be against standard sign measurements so the safest way to go is the medium size which is generally acceptable.

Open House Signs

Door hangers and billboards posted in a location where a good number of prospects can likely see them will give a property owner or the broker a chance to have the property sold quickly. Holding open house events for interested buyers and investors would require a good real estate marketing sign made for the people to know. Among others, real estate strategies may vary, but installing the actual sign in front of the property would make a difference.

There is an edge for seasoned brokers and realtors who know which sign maker to commission for any upcoming open house events. While the recycling of old signs normally works, having a straightforward sign made would be lit. Similarly, for an open house event the sign can simply read “Open House Today” and it would catch the attention of anyone passing by.

The Frame

A-Frame signs are the most commonly used real estate marketing paraphernalia to date. This enables 3-way visibility for passersby to learn if a specific real estate property is out on sale or lease. The size and the weight of the materials to use would vary, but for expert sign-makers, there will always be a workaround, depending on the requirement of the realtor or the property owner. Marketing tools like this get funded knowing it will be the topmost endorser of the marketed property.

There are angle-type frames and rounded-type frames. It all really depends on the owner’s taste or how detailed the request is. Bigger or smaller versions are available, and the size of the property being sold or leased can be matched.

Vinyl Decals

This is considered the most cost-efficient sign among others. For instance, the space is quite limited, and a stand-up sign might not be necessary. A vinyl decal is flexible enough to be mounted on hangers or open walls so onlookers can still see the real estate property being shown to the public. As long as contact details are readable, there is a high chance interested clients can contact those who must be contacted to discuss a deal.

Since this is the most economical, realtors mostly employ it, especially for properties in the mid-cost range. Still, big and small properties use vinyl decals in areas where the property being sold is not exactly where the sign is. For a wider audience reach, realtors and property owners sometimes market the property using these materials and hang them somewhere it can likely be noticed.

The Flag

When board signs become an eyesore, the next best thing to have for a real estate marketing sign would be the flag. It can bear the broker or owner to contact and the phone number that must be called to hear about the property. The flag can also come in a variety of sizes. The idea is to make it readable. While it is least encouraged as cloth flags tend to get swayed by the wind or easily wear and tear over time, the details printed on them can be difficult to read. 

While there are ways to hold both ends of the flag in place, it can be a struggle to read them off from afar. Thus, this is not a highly recommended real estate marketing sign. It can serve its purpose, yes, but unlike the rest of the real estate signs, it cannot encourage more.
