Putting in long work hours would make any team member feel down and out if it’s done without the proper reward. With the new normal of remote working where team members don’t see each other on a regular basis, reward and recognition may be the best option to keep them motivated. Many companies are now discovering how much this makes a difference to their operations.

Over complimenting or an extravagant reward for every small thing may not be the route to go, but employers should put a lot of effort to give out any simple token of appreciation for employees who gave out their best in carrying through their tasks. 

Making good interpersonal and work relations improves many aspects of the business, including productivity and success. Keeping employees motivated and productive seems like a never-ending goal but gradually building a relationship and appreciating your employee’s worth to the company weighs more than any material reward.
