Doing What You Do Best

Q. I looking for business ideas that I can do from home. I have recently become a homemaker and mother. My background includes software design and analysis, hardware and software support, internet research, software training as well as baking and esthetics. With so many different skills, I have had difficulty in finding one idea that pulls these skills together. I love playing with the computer and believe it would be used heavily in any endeavor that I would enjoy doing. Any ideas?-- Charlene

A. Dear Charlene,

What is your heart telling you to do? What do you love to do? Your answer to these questions will determine what you'll be most successful doing. Really!

The next step is to do your homework. Talk to people in the field your considering. Talk to people who work from home (email me - I've worked from home for 15 years). Get the facts on the career you've chosen. Then get to work. As Nike says, "Just do it!"
