“Our focus has always been to allow mobile users to access email service
on mobiles without having to deal with complicated set-ups and
configurations. Getting started with our service is a breeze, since all the
user needs to provide is their email address and password" says Chirag
Patel, CEO of Net4Nuts. Patel further adds, "Cost & speed are of utmost
importance, as a majority of Virgin Mobile users are youth, and we have
designed the service ground up to appeal to this audience and their
wallets”.
Going by industry standard, mobile email solutions cost upwards of a few
hundred rupees each month and come with the cost of having to purchase
high-end devices for accessing the solutions. Apart from all major functions
of an email such as receiving, composing replying, etc, vMail offers
advanced features of a mobile email service like the convenience of
accessing email on the GO, access to multiple mailboxes in single interface,
a common address book/ signature across all mails as well as attachment
viewing capability. All this is now available on Virgin Mobile’s vKewl and
vSleek handset bundled offers.
vKewl has features like video recording, 1.3 mega pixel camera, MP 3
player, FM radio and is loaded with MMS, speakers and headset. All this is
available with lifetime incoming and prepaid connection for just Rs. 3499/-.
vSleek on the other hand offers an ultra slim phone priced at an attractive
point of Rs. 3,299 bundled with lifetime validity and a starter user kit.
Virgin Mobile is the only mobile service in India that is targeted at
youth and caters to their unique needs. “Youth of today are highly
techno-savvy and like to be in constant touch with the latest updates
available on their mobile phones. vMail is one such unique service that
allows Virgin Mobile users to access their emails anytime, anywhere using
their existing WAP enabled phones. What’s more, this service is available
for free since the user just pays a nominal daily access fee of Rs. 5 for
accessing the Vbytes data portal.” said Deval Parikh, Chief Officers -
Handsets, VAS and Procurement, Virgin Mobile India.
In addition to its mobile email service, Net4Nuts has also engaged with
most of the leading mobile operators in India to provide a variety of
information services. A bulk of the MVAS provided by Net4Nuts is designed
with the mass market in mind. "The idea is to provide services that work on
any handset and not just on feature-rich smartphones,” adds Patel.
