Star Line, LLC, today announced that its Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, San
Juan and St. Thomas locations have received ISO 14001 Environmental
Management System Certification through QMS Global, an international
organization specializing in ISO management system assessment and
registration.

The ISO 14001 Standard specifies requirements for an Environmental
Management System (EMS) to enable organizations to develop and implement
their own environmental policies and objectives. The intent of this Standard
is to provide a means for organizations to integrate their EMS with other
management requirements and goals.
Sea Star Line has established its own EMS to ensure that the company's
activities and services have minimal impact on the environment. Sea Star
Line's EMS focuses on initiatives in their offices, terminals, vessels and
communities.
