--Robert Zafari has joined Trane Commercial Systems Europe, Middle East,
Africa and India Region (EMAIR) as president. Robert replaces Gerard Lavery,
who was recently appointed to the role of vice president-TCS global
operations and product management.

In this role, Robert will have full accountability for the profit and
loss of all TCS products, business streams and country operations across the
region. Robert will join the core team of the TCS global leadership team.
Most recently, Robert has served as Ingersoll Rand president of the
Security Technologies business sector for the Europe Served Area (ESA). In
this role, Robert delivered an outstanding track record of dramatic growth
in both revenue and income for the business. He has laid out an exciting
strategic plan and built a solid regional leadership team for Security
Technologies.
Prior to joining the Security Technologies business Robert served as
president of Compact Vehicle Technologies, and earlier as vice president of
Productivity Solutions and General Manager in the Industrial Technologies
sector of Ingersoll Rand.

East, along with his substantial contributions to the Ingersoll Rand
enterprise, position him well to continue the successful growth and

Before joining Ingersoll Rand in 2000, Robert held sales, marketing and
general management positions with Legrand, Texas Instrument and ABB.
Robert received a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from
Schiller International University in London, UK and a Master Degree in
Business Administration from the University of San Diego, CA, USA.
