Unfortunately due to the high rate of divorce many young boys are growing up
without constant access to their fathers. This doesn't, however, make the
bond between father and son any less important. Boy's need their fathers to

Boys idolize their dads even when they don't live in the same house. When
dad is away a boy will often imagine how he would react to everyday
situations. Boys need to spend time with their fathers if they are to grow
up to be respectful, loving, well balanced men.
One perfect way to spend quality time with your is to take him to a ball
game. While you watch the game together you can easily strike up
conversation about the sport and the players that your son adores. Sporting
events are usually a common interest for dads and sons. Almost all boys are
into at least one sport. As a dad all you have to do is discover which one

Your son will enjoy all the input you give him even if he doesn't share
your interest in a particular player or if you like different teams. Don't
just sit on the couch and watch these games either, get out there and go to
a game. This will help your son gain a strong connection to the sport. Boys
who have a strong connection to a sport are more likely to play that sport
in high school and less likely to smoke, do drugs or get involved with
gangs.
Be a good influence on your son and take him out to a ball game.
