October 1, 2008 ( PowerHomeBiz
) - London, UK --
Demand for the group ski holiday has never been so high! We are seeing an
increase of over 34% for bookings from groups of 12 plus.
Perhaps
this is because of the excellent value group discounts and free leader
spaces that we are offering for 2009, but we think it more down to the
money-saving tactics that skiers realise they can achieve when they book
together as a group.”
(news continued below)))
The relative economy of scale will mean that groups of 10 or more can not
only save on their base ski holiday package, but also on their ski hire and
lift pass needs.
However groups need to act fast, as all the best chalets will naturally
fill first. Last minute offers for group bookers are a thing of the past,
unless of course they are happy to opt for a low altitude, "B-rated" resort.
Unfortunately this is too risky a prospect nowadays with many of the low
level (cheaper) resorts such as Andorra and those in the Eastern Block which
simply do not get adequate snow cover all season long.
We at Alpine Elements are of course two steps ahead of the ski-game and
recognised this fact several years ago! Since the last great El-nino
snowfall of 1998, we have started to see a marked shift in snow patterns,
and now we are purely concentrating our property portfolio on those higher
climes only.
This includes resorts which are either northern in location or have 80%
of their skiing above 2000m, thus ensuring good quality snow for last minute
skiing groups wanting to trade flexibility for value for money – yet still
not risk the nightmare of a green resort on arrival!
Alpine Elements specialize in high altitude ski holidays
throughout the French Alps. We deliver great deals on ski holidays for
individual travelers, couples, families and groups. We also offer group
discounts, ski lessons for beginners and skiing insurance cover, making
things less stressful for you when you travel with us. So if you are looking
for ski chalets or a want to find out more about a
