Delta, the world’s largest provider of switching power supplies and DC brushless fans, reinforced its ongoing commitment to strengthen its channel business model to help expand Delta’s UPS business and announced the successful hosting of UPS Business Partner Summit 2008 at its first green factory at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand from September 12-14, 2008. This was the first ever channel partner summit for the UPS business in the SAARC region.

In a partner meet held in Rudrapur on Sept 13, 2008, Delta executives
highlighted the crucial role its channel partner’s play in making Delta’s
technology and products available to valued customers across the SAARC
region. Delta is a major player for Double Conversion Online UPS Solutions
(1KVA-4000KVA) across the region.
The meet provided a platform for Delta and its partners to formulate the
strategies for mutual growth and expansion in the near future. The 3 day
summit apprised the Partners on Delta’s Global and Indian operations, which
included update on SAP implementation, inventory management and expansion of
Indian operations with focus on Channels, besides strengthening the
relationship between Delta and its partners. Delta and its partners planned
to work together to discover new business-enabling ways to support success
and profitability.

UPS Business line in India.

At the meet, Delta’s team updated the channel partners on the
developments in the existing product range and the strategic schedule for
the launch of Innovative Power Backup Solutions over the next couple of
years for the Indian Market. Deepak also shared Delta’s plan for
localization of the Enterprise product range in India, which would not just
help the Partners to provide our customers better technology at lower
prices; but also reduce the lead time for deliveries and finally enable
Delta in providing customized solutions for Indian customers.
The partners who attended the summit deal with power backup solutions
with focus on end to end solution for their customers, including presales,
sales and post sales care. Delta have a network of primary partners, who
have their further and wide spread sub-network of second level and third
level partners all over the country. The primary partners represent Delta
exclusively for the UPS range. Few of the Partners also deal in IT
solutions, Power Generation (DG Sets) & other power related products like
Stabilizers, Servos, Power distribution, Transformers, etc.
Delta’s primary channel partners applauded the awards and
acknowledgements that were introduced in this summit. Out of the total
partners present in the summit, three partners were awarded Golden Star of
Excellence for their Outstanding Performance in 2007. Further, Nine other
Partners were awarded Silver Star of Excellence for their “Happening and
Promising” performance. Some “Special Mention” awards were also given away
to boost the partner’s morale.
Deepak took up a guided factory tour of the Green factory to display the
latest technology invested in to help bring in the latest range of power
products from Delta in a truly eco-friendly way. During his discussion, he
was on hand to answer and explain Delta’s strategy and answer all queries,
on a one-on-one basis. He concluded to give more support from Delta and
expected to have higher energy and commitment level from the supporting
partners.
The summit concluded with a trip to the local hill-station- Nainital. The
Delta team and its Partners mingled up and thoroughly enjoyed the day- long
excursion. The group enjoyed boating in the Naini Lake and took a Rope-way
to visit the snow-view point, and amidst some recreational activities, they
also took pleasure of shopping on the famous Mall road and Tibetan Market.
