Is Blogging dead? Not according to Alex Sysoef, one of the creators of
www.ExpertWordPress.com . Mr
Sysoef, whose company, Alyans LLC, just released an online program that
offers step by step assistance for anyone who wants to create a complete web
2.0 enhanced niche blog.
(news continued below)
Mr. Sysoef had this to say, "Blogging is an activity that has matured.
It's not dead and it's not dying. Blogging is still one of the most valuable
ways for businesses to participate in the discussions their customers are
already having about their products or services, to strengthen their brands
and to ultimately increase sales as their customers come to see them as the
expert, the trusted advisor, who can help them solve a problem or fill a
need."
Findings from the Pew Internet and American Life Project report, released
in December, 2007 seem to concur with Mr. Sysoef. According to the study,
when people are looking for help with a variety of common problems, they are
more likely to turn to the internet than consult experts or family members
to provide needed information and resources. Of the people surveyed, 58% of
those who had recently experienced one of 10 possible problems given as
examples, said they used the internet (at home, work, a public library or
some other place) to get help. Blogs are a big part of their solution.
Technorati (the foremost blog search engine in the world), is now
tracking over 70 million weblogs, and report about 120,000 new weblogs being
created worldwide each day. That's about 1.4 blogs created every second of
every day. There are approximately 1.5 million postings per day (or about 17
posts per second.)
Latest Findings Related to Blog Abandonment
A report released by Perseus stated that 66.0% of surveyed blogs had not
been updated in two months, "representing 2.72 million blogs that have been
either permanently or temporarily abandoned".
One of the main reasons cited for this (up till now) has been the amount
of work involved to get a blog search engine optimized, and to draw traffic
to the site.
For business bloggers, this is both good news and bad. It's bad news
because it shows how difficult it's been to rise to the top of the
blogosphere.
It's good news because as their competition fail to keep updating their
blogs on a regular basis, business bloggers have a real chance of creating
meaningful relationships and dialogs with their prospects and customers.
And with the release of the technology in
ExpertWordPress.com
it's just become much easier. Even someone who has never built a blog before
can set up a blog on the niche or subject of their choice that is completely
optimized, and can quickly become known as an expert.
According to David Sifry, of Sifry's Alerts, another trend that's making
things better for the business blogger is that blogs have continued "to
become more and more viable news and information outlets. For instance,
information not shown in our data but revealed in our own user testing in Q1
2007 indicates that the audience is less and less likely to distinguish a
blog from, say, nytimes.com -- for a growing base of users, these are all
sites for news, information, entertainment, gossip, etc ..."

Fights 'SPLOGS' (Spam Blogs) and Adsense Farms
Technorati reports tracking between 3,000 - 7,000 splogs created each day
- with spikes during holidays and times of world strife. However, search
engines are making a concerted effort to eliminate them and
ExpertWordPress.com
has joined the fight by showing bloggers the right way to create
content-rich blogs that provide genuine information and original content.
With the use of "here's how you do it" videos, Mr. Sysoef is teaching
bloggers exactly what they need to do to create blogs that:
* Build a buzz and viral traffic with special reports and video * Find
sponsors for their blogs * Create networking, joint venture and cross
advertising opportunities * Builds targeted email lists * Creates a hungry
market
Here's what one happy client, Dan Shaw, COO of the Business Academy for
Writers had to say about
ExpertWordPress.com - "Expert Wordpress is our new secret
weapon. It's going to help us utterly destroy our competition with its total
Theme Package and its easy-to-follow videos for installation and set-up.
Installation of our new blog took a complete novice 10 minutes to set up.
And the setup and customization were a breeze - we just followed the
step-by-step videos. We couldn't be happier with the system."
