Business Administration – Marketing program at Sheridan College and really
likes what he sees, "Young people in College are willing to learn and take
on challenges, and this experience has been very satisfying from my
perspective as Jason's understanding of the gift basket industry has grown
by leaps and bounds since he started at BelenGift" He also says, "We've been
able to bring both our needs to the forefront and use his personal skills in
a worthwhile manner for both parties."
Jason agrees that the knowledge
gained while working for BelenGift have helped him gain new and important
skills which may one day be applied to further his career. Not only has he
educated himself more with gift baskets he has also had the opportunity to
work with real people in the industry. This is important as making
connections and gaining contacts are important to further yourself in
business. "I have discovered quite a big difference between textbook
learning and real life lessons in a working environment," he says. "This has
been a valuable learning experience for me, an asset that I now have to put
toward my career, and is something I could only have learned through the
