SafeCheckIn.com members put in specific information about their weight,
height, physical features, health as well as a photo. They even can have
information on their vehicles. Once their profile is entered, they can then
set up an “event” with information about any activity they are participating
in. A student member provides enough details about their “event” to insure
their parents or the police to have an effective starting point to determine
their situation.
This information is completely private and is never
disclosed unless the member goes overdue and then only to designated
contacts. When they “check out”, SafeCheckIn will monitor their event until
the member “checks in” again. If the member is overdue, SafeCheckIn will
attempt to contact the member to update their status. If SafeCheckIn cannot
reach the member, they contact the people designated as emergency contacts
with the local authorities as being contacts of last resort.
Parents also
are usually the first emergency contact. SafeCheckIn then informs the
contact of all details known and makes sure someone take responsibly to take
action.
As a parent, you cannot expect to watch over your young adult children
all the time. Relying on cell phones is not a complete solution. Batteries
die, signals are lost and there is always the possibility that the student
is not in possession or in a position to use the phone. GPS services are
intrusive and unreliable in buildings and urban areas. SafeCheckIn is more
than a backup. It is a fail-safe with human oversight.
SafeCheckIn is perfect for students to use for any campus activity as
well as off campus outings like dating, snowboarding/skiing, road trips,
biking, running and more.
College is a time for young people to discover what it’s like to be
independent.
Whether the student is at a nearby school or thousands of miles away,
www.SafeCheckIn.com can give
parents peace of mind without infringing on that new independence.
About SafeCheckIn.com:
www.SafeCheckIn.com is a
service where individuals can put in specific information about themselves
as well as information about any activity they are going to do. When they
“check out” SafeCheckIn will monitor their absence until the member “checks
in” again. If the member is overdue then SafeCheckIn will attempt to contact
the member to update their status. If SafeCheckIn cannot reach the member,
we then contact the people that the member has designated as emergency
contacts with the local authorities as being contacts of last resort.
