-- TerraSip, a VoIP provider based in Southern Spain (‘Europe’s California’) offers DIDs or DDI for more than 54 countries and 5500 destinations. For almost all destinations TerraSip lowered the prices by approximately 30-50 %. DID means Direct Inward Dialling. Used in the VoIP world it means in fact nothing more than a regular phone number. A DID allows a traditional phone to call a VoIP phone
So virtual numbers are real telephone numbers with the additional effect
of being aliases for VoIP/Sip numbers. They can be a local number or a
toll-free number. By calling such a number traditional phones can connect to
Sip phones, just by dialling a local area code plus the direct number.
They are convenient for both: for the owner, who keeps always his same
number worldwide, wherever he uses his sip phone and for the caller, who
will be connected to this number for only the low fees of the dialled area
code.
Registration and activation within minutes
Every registered customer can order a virtual telephone number from any
of the more than 5000 destinations from the TerraSip website. The handling
is easy and the costs low. The customer selects a country and city on the
web page www.terrasip.com . Then with a push on a button the DID is
registered and mapped immediately on the users sip account. The costs are
simply taken from the users account balance.
No hidden or per-minute fees, unlimited usage
The monthly rates are between 3 and 8 Euros, depending on the selected
destination plus a small setup fee from 2 to 7 Euros. Nothing more. TerraSip
doesn’t charge any additional hidden or per-minute fees. Susan Scheiber of
TerraSip’s management board comments this policy: “We wanted to offer this
service as cheap as possible for our members. So we pass them the same
conditions, as we buy them. It is important, that our members feel as
comfortable as possible with their TerraSip VoIP accounts.”
