-- Smart Levels Media has been recruited by the Orange County Affiliate of
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® as a Platinum Sponsor for the 17th annual Komen
Orange County Race for the Cure®, Sunday, Sept. 28.

The Race for the Cure is the premier 5K fundraising event that celebrates
breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with
the disease. As a sponsor, Smart Levels Media will work with the Komen
Orange County Affiliate and play a key role in funding the Race, which is
expected to raise more than $3 million this year.
“We're happy to sponsor the 2008 Race for the Cure campaign,” said Joey
Hinojosa, president of Smart Levels Media. “Our loyal customers make this
possible. We all want to win the fight against cancer, and being able to
support a local organization like the Susan G. Komen Orange County affiliate
allows us to play a part.”
Seventy five percent of all the money raised stays in the community to
fund local breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment
projects, and the remaining 25 percent supports the Komen Award and Research
Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research.
“We are thrilled to have Smart Levels Media as a sponsor this year,” said
Lisa Wolter, executive director of the Komen Orange County Affiliate. “Our
sponsors are an integral part of our Race, and this key Komen fundraising
event would not be possible without their support. We thank Smart Levels
Media for coming on board and look forward to working together toward a
world without breast cancer.” The Orange County Race for the Cure, which
takes place Sunday, Sept. 28 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, Calif.,
features a morning of women’s and co-ed 5K runs, a health and fitness expo,
and a breast cancer survivor tribute.
