Trade Show Marketing: Simple Gets You Noticed
Awesome, straightforward, eye-catching, and bold. These words should effectively and truthfully describe your next trade show display.

June 30, 2008 ( PowerHomeBiz ) - Olalla, WA   --  Awesome, straightforward, eye-catching, and bold. These words should effectively and truthfully describe your next trade show display. With less than three seconds to woo the average attendee, many companies struggle to effectively draw in visitors because it takes too long to 'soak in' their display.

(news continued below))

Logically, most companies are under the impression that the more information and color used, the better their chances are of getting people to stop at their booth. This could not be farther from the truth! There is only one thing you need to remember when designing graphics for your trade show display - less is more. A photo of your product, a listing of key features , and a striking headline are all you should need in your display.

In your display's marketing copy, do not waste your time using "cutesy" words. Get straight to the point; this way, the attendees will know exactly what your product is all about and whether or not they would like to stop at your booth. The likelihood of the average attendee stopping at every booth and reading several paragraphs at each in order to find out what you do is pretty much nil. The colors you use are as important, if not more important, than the pictures used. For example, a black background with red, white, or yellow text would pop out more than graphics with neutral colors. If your display has sharp color contrast, it should have no problem being seen. Contrast is created when two colors play off of eachother, bringing each color out.

All of these tips may seem very easy, yet many companies tend to make mistakes over and over in making their trade show displays unapproachable. Focus on providing your 'sales pitch' as succinctly as possible in your promotional graphics, and you'll be fine!
