Last month, Nexus ISR participated in conjunction with the New York
Association of Hostage Negotiators (NYAHN) as corporate sponsors for their
annual conference. Locally owned Nexus pledged their support and provided
financial contributions toward the training efforts of the Association.

The third Annual Conference was attended by over 220 people from all over
the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom and was a huge success. Speakers
included those from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office (LASO), New York Police
Department (NYPD), FBI, Kansas City Police Department, and many others.
Nexus demonstrated solutions involving The Nexus Hawk attached to an IP
video camera streaming live video from the event over the internet. Officers
took interest in a specific example that described attaching a Nexus Hawk
and camera to a utility pole to notify them when a suspect had arrived at
his home in real time. This would allow the officers to apprehend a suspect
wanted on warrant immediately. Nexus also displayed its GPS solution while
providing WiFi access to those who requested it all using the Nexus Hawk.
