AuraPortal UK's stand played host to a large number of business executives from across Europe attracted by an interest in seeing the AuraPortal BPM suite. AuraPortal UK were able to demonstrate a system where the modelling process can be performed without the need to write a single line of code and where IT intervention can be limited to assisting with the integration with other applications. All of this is achieved by applying a SOA strategy, system maintenance and the creation of complex reports.

One of the most interesting presentations at the event was given by Janelle Hill, Research VP at Gartner, entitled Best Practices for Selecting a BPMS. Ms Hill highlighted the importance of requesting that potential suppliers participate in a pilot to demonstrate the ability of their BPMS to provide a solution for the client. In support of this approach, AuraPortal has for many years offered potential clients a “Real Life Test” where a complex process can be quickly and efficiently implemented using AuraPortal BPMS. The successful delivery of the pilot helps confirm to the client that they are making the right choice in choosing AuraPortal.

The summit highlighted the need to consider BPM as a technology that integrates other applications into one seamless solution. Gartner’s assessment of AuraPortal as an “example of the next generation BPMS” reflects both the holistic concept of AuraPortal and the many powerful features designed to radically improve every aspect of corporate governance.
