their jewelry website this week, which will challenge retail prices in both
the 14 karat and 18 karat jewelry markets.

According to Mr. Lockhart, “Bricks and mortar jewelry retailers
overcharge the consumer with over-inflated prices due to their high costs …
our costs are far lower and we pass that saving back to the consumer.”
Regarding the launch of Imperial Jewels website, Mr. Lockhart had this to
say “In conjunction with the opening of the new website, we have outlined an
incentivisation strategy that instantly benefits consumers from day one;
ensuring clients receive regular discounts on all jewelry products.” Mr.
Lockhart gave examples whereby all new registrants will receive an
introductory offer of 25% off their first purchase, and professional
purchasers will receive volume discounts.
When quizzed about the lower profit margins incurred by offers like this,
Mr. Lockhart said “Even with our already great value, Imperialjewels.com is
prepared to sell at even lower prices in order to pass the best possible
value onto the consumer, and also dispel the misconception of jewelry being
prohibitively expensive.” Mr. Lockhart added, “Many of our jewelry items are
a quarter of the price of existing bricks and mortar jewelry retailers.”
With the overhaul of its website, Imperial Jewels aims to step over the
middlemen who add only costs and no value to the product. In conclusion Mr.
Lockhart had this to say. “Imperial Jewels’ objective is very simple—to
offer jewelry at prices people can afford in the middle of the recession.”
